Visit to the Lambretta Offroad Cup 2025 Vol. 2

On September 13, 2025, we got up early to drive 350 km to Frankenthal for the second edition of the Lambretta Offroad Cup. We realized that Peter must be a Lambretta lover, because while it rained all over the country - and on the road - the weather held in Frankenthal and provided a lot of dust on the race track and the spectator stands at pleasant temperatures.

10 teams, 160 laps, beer showers - Frankenthal delivers again

Over six hours, 10 teams from all over Europe rode, hopped, flew (Meisi) a bumpy race on the motocross track. When we arrived at midday, we were greeted by an exuberant atmosphere, crazy costumes, but also initial collateral damage to man and machine. Flat tires, broken handlebars, bruises and other minor injuries to the riders were inevitable.

Screwing, swearing, riding on - team spirit instead of a gentle wash cycle

This did nothing to dampen the good mood and enthusiasm of the teams, as they quickly patched, repaired and screwed things together so that they could continue somehow. In contrast to the drivers, who were replaced in between, the vehicles had to hold out from the first to the last minute. Unfortunately, not all teams were able to keep up until the end of the race because there were not enough spare parts available.

Nevertheless, nobody was left standing at the finish line and the drivers were celebrated with a beer shower - and to the sound of cowbells from the Austrians. This year's first place went to the team from the Alps (Austria), who completed 160 laps in the six hours.

We were already on our way home by the time of the award ceremony and the subsequent celebration, but we're sure that there was plenty of merriment. All in all, it was a very nice event with a lot of fun, which will hopefully attract even more spectators in the future.
