Scooters, Saves and Royal Alloy – what you (maybe) missed
Maybe you were at the Open Day, checked out all the beautiful scooters and mopeds, browsed the parts market, went for a test ride, grabbed a kebab and caught up with friends and fellow riders. But maybe, amidst all the scooter buzz around the Scooter Center, you missed some exciting stories from our workshop.
Spotlight on Sigi’s Royal Alloy – with bgm and style
First up on the (lifted) stage: a stunning black beauty – the Royal Alloy by Sigi Schieh. A real head-turner, especially with those elegant side panels enhanced by subtle pinstripes in bgm style. Or those golden rims. Or the ScooterTec mirrors (coming soon to our shop, by the way). Inside and out, this scooter’s got the goods: our bgm variator, the bgm Pro Super Torque pulley, and a bgm air filter. Topped off with a Malossi clutch and a Scorpion exhaust.
The English lady also briefly shed her top to try on the prototype of our bgm N.I.S.A. seat for Royal Alloy. What can we say? We're smitten. See for yourself – this seat is being made exclusively for us, and we’ll let you know the moment it hits the shop. You’re going to love it.
Breakdown, Boost and Dyno – PX rescue live
Michael Zinnen from
Z-Design was set to display some of his custom scooters in front of our building. But the journey from Aachen with his daughter Dana wasn’t exactly smooth. First, a snapped throttle cable slowed them down. No big deal, but a few kilometres later Dana's "Happy Black" custom PX seized up. The spark plug had come loose. And then – nothing.
Young rider’s mood in the gutter, day seemingly ruined. The scooter and daughter arrived by car at the Open Day. We couldn’t just let that slide. We offered them our workshop and a fresh
bgm PRO 177 cylinder so they could fix the scooter right there in the middle of all the Open Day action.
Wrenched with love – the community to the rescue
At times the workshop was so crowded it was hard to see who was doing what to which part of the engine. But it didn’t take long until “Happy Black” had its new cylinder and was living up to its name again. Right after the revival, the rescued custom PX went straight next door to the EKG – sorry – the dyno. Everything ran perfectly. 15.7 HP on the screen, and Dana’s smile lit up just as bright. The whole crew made it home safely, no more hiccups. Good thing we’ve got our own scooter first aid squad trained and ready every day.
Between bench and spotlight – our bgm highlights
And there was more hidden treasure off the lift, tucked away in the corners of our workshop. As you know, we're always tinkering, improving and inventing. Some of the latest results are presented by Alex in the video below. Look forward to
bgm PRO gems like the
superstrong clutch arm, the
antidive shock for Smallframe, the clever
5-bulge tubeless rims or the
gear selector for PX... Actually, we’ll let Alex do the talking. Get inspired by our new bgm product range – and his presentation, of course.
