So that silent rubbers stay where they should: bgm PRO Silentblock Set Anti Slip

Silentblock Set bgm Pro Anti-Slip

Quietly and silently, vibrations creep into your wrists while riding, and the soles of your feet start buzzing on the floorboard. This often happens when the engine and shock absorber silent rubbers are worn out. In such cases, the engine casing may come into contact with the frame or the sleeve of the swingarm bolt – or the shock absorber may touch the engine housing.

High-strength EPDM rubber for long-term vibration damping

To ensure lasting vibration damping between engine and shock absorber, we had special rubbers made from EPDM material here in Germany. This material permanently withstands everything a scooter life throws at it: oil, grease, fuel, ozone from the air and UV radiation on the road. We have done everything possible on the topic of silent rubbers. Now it would be great if the rubber could also reliably keep the sleeve centered over time, preventing contact between shock absorber and engine casing.

Anti-slip sleeve keeps the silent rubber reliably in place

This is where the Anti-Slip silentblock sleeve comes into play. We apply the same clever trick Piaggio has long used elsewhere – a trick that only becomes visible once all the old material has been removed from the shock mount on the engine. The surface inside the shock eye is noticeably rough.

At first glance, these deep grooves may look like poor machining, but they serve a purpose: Once the silent rubber is installed and the sleeve is inserted, the rubber is compressed into the grooves and held in place – preventing any slippage. With the bgm Pro Anti-Slip sleeve, we replicate this principle by adding two distinct ridges. When installed, the rubber is pressed into these ridges, preventing the sleeve from shifting sideways.

Installation: The rubber and sleeve are best installed using tire mounting paste.
