Stefano Benelli’s transmission parts rightly enjoy an excellent reputation among Vespa riders. If you’re looking for reliable components for your transmission, you’ll find them here. Hardened to an average of 60 HRC, Benelli parts offer the perfect balance of sufficient hardness and necessary elasticity to withstand the enormous stresses of a race engine or a powerful touring engine with high torque over the long term.

FUTURE-ORIENTED
Benelli’s Grantour variants offer an excellent solution for fast and powerful street bikes. Modern engine designs often produce more than twice the torque of a factory-spec PX200. The Grantour transmissions therefore use the same high-strength base material and the same heat treatment as Benelli’s hyper-sporty GPX transmission parts.

100% STABILITY
Together with a clever gear design, Stefano Benelli ensures extreme durability for his transmissions. In doing so, he reduces the number of nearly all meshing teeth, thereby achieving two things:

• The tooth base becomes wider and thus significantly more stable

• By reducing the number of teeth on both the secondary shaft AND the main shaft, the gear ratio is kept virtually the same

VERSIONS
Grantour gearboxes are available in two versions:

• Touring (12/55, 13/40, 16/35, 19/33)

• Sport (12/55, 13/40, 16/37, 19/35)
  
  

TOURING
The Touring version’s gear ratios are nearly identical to those of a PX125 and are therefore identical to those of a PX200 transmission with a short fourth gear. This is a proven and popular combination, both in terms of power band and gear ratios. When combined with a longer primary reduction ratio (e.g., 24/62), the transmission is ideally suited for high-power, high-torque engine setups with a box exhaust. Unlike the standard short fourth gear with 36 teeth (e.g., PX125/T5), the third and fourth gear sprockets on the Benelli each have three fewer teeth—for maximum stability. Perfect for the Quattrini 244 and similar models.

SPORT
The Sport version has significantly shorter gear ratios in third and fourth gears than the Touring variant. This makes it ideal for high-performance engines with resonance exhaust systems. Thanks to the shorter gear ratios, the primary drive can be designed for a higher top speed without compromising gear engagement.

AVAILABLE
Grantour transmissions are available as:

• Small Set: 4 gear rings + secondary shaft

• Large set: 4 gear rings + secondary shaft + main shaft + shift cross
