A wideframe racer

A good example in the Vespa racing world is the Wideframe Racer from the Nagy family.

Moritz, Julius, Manuel, and our dear Andreas from @NagyBlechroller came together and built a Wideframe Roller for the racetrack that meets their demands for design and performance.

So far, there are not many Wideframes used in circuit or sprint races. These few racers are often equipped with engine concepts from the 80s, as these are seen by the builders as more powerful and reliable. The team around Andreas took a different approach and crossed the original engine block with modern components to show that even 50s technology can have a place in today’s motorsport.

The result is the “Flying Snail,” a racing snail with a modern chassis and current engine technology, which has already completed its first laps on the racetrack with promising results.

It's interesting to see firsthand how these ideas come to life. Thank you for letting us be a part of this process, and we are excited to see how it continues. In the meantime, we wish the Nagy team lots of fun with their "new" toy.
