An ingenious and simple way to repair M8 threads in cast aluminum and similar materials. The damaged thread is drilled out, and a new M12x1.5 thread is cut.

To install the threaded insert, you’ll need an M8 nut and bolt. First, screw the nut onto the bolt, followed by the threaded insert. Tighten the nut against the threaded insert, and then secure the threaded insert in place with threadlocker. 

Perfect for the M8 stud threads on the exhaust mount and suitable for the cylinder studs.
