The stars in front of the lens: your two-wheelers
Many visitors to our Open Day who came with their beloved two-wheeler had their picture taken professionally in our photo box. At least all those who were able to squeeze through the end of the queue in front of the test stand. You can admire the pictures that were taken here. As always, we have separated them into individual galleries according to vehicle category so that you don't lose track. And don't worry, nothing has been cut off: If you click on the picture, a larger version will open.

Holy metal: 24 classic Vespas set in scene
A total of 24 classic Vespas were photographed in the photo box, respect! Including the entire carpool of Z-Design aka Michael Zinnen, who pushed all seven scooters in front of the cove. One after the other, of course.

Vespa VBB 150 1961 - David

I am 27 years old and have a small Vespa collection, including my Vespa VBB. The Vespa VBB 1T from 1961 was registered for the first time on 23.06.1961 in Vittoria (Sicily). It belonged to a man (born in 1911) who owned it until his death. His son sold the Vespa to me. It has been painted orange over the years and this year I completely stripped it down and gave it a complete technical overhaul. Among other things, the engine: it currently has a BGM 177 cylinder, with a BGM Fasterflow carburetor Si 26 and a BGM Box V2 installed. It also has a racing shaft. On the test bench, this resulted in no less than 19.2 hp. The chassis is also from BGM. Otherwise, it appears very beautiful in its patina and tells its own story, which was very important to me to keep. The speedometer shows the original 25 thousand kilometers and is also still the original speedometer.

Few, but worthy: Lambretta
The Lambretta faction was somewhat underrepresented in the photo box this year, at least in our photo box. There were some really cool examples in the wild at the Open Day. But that has to improve next time, people! You don't want to leave the field to the Vespas just like that.

Royal Alloy, GT, LX - Classic rethought
Sigi Schi's black Royal Alloy not only looked regal on our lifting platform, but also cut a fine figure in front of the photographer's lens. Two more Royal Alloys were also guests in the "Modern Classics" category. Four Vespa GTs and a Vespa LX were photographed together with their riders.

Vespa GTS - by Björn

First of all: the red Vespa GTS belongs to my friend Ayten, easily recognizable by the Mickey Mouse helmet. She also had pictures taken. We did our B196 in September 2024. I didn't actually want a Vespa, but it was so much fun during driving school that we bought two Vespas instead of one in December 2014. My girlfriend got a red GTS Super and I got a GTS Super Sport. Then the wait until delivery began, I think we almost got on our dealer's nerves in March because the weather was so nice, but they could understand us. In April, the time had finally come and we were able to pick them both up.
At first, we went on short trips. Then they got longer and longer. Then in September we did a three-day tour from Remscheid - Rüdesheim - Wiesbaden - Mainz - Koblenz - Remscheid. The visit to you was almost the perfect end to the season
Nothing has been changed on either of them yet, I've just swapped the silver brake levers for black ones on mine. But there are still a few things to come so that I can carry something on a longer tour.
Vespa LX 125 - by Silke

My Vespa is by no means just a means of transportation, but for me it means freedom. It was love at first sight 13 years ago! A pink LX! We didn't look for each other, but we found each other and from then on we were inseparable. Initially as a 50cc model and for a few years now as a 125cc. Switching to a 125 has opened up many new paths for me and broadened my riding horizons. I have already been up the Grossglockner in Austria twice and I recently returned from my 10-day tour of Tuscany - with stops at the beautiful Lake Garda and in Bolzano - after almost 2,000 km.
My Vespa not only puts a smile on my face, but also on the faces of many other people I meet. For me, it's a very special attitude to life that I wouldn't want to do without.

Anything but boring - the colorful vending machine gallery
The colorful automatic category is also impressive. A total of 15 two-wheelers in a wide variety of guises lolled in front of our photographer's lens.
Highlight and exhibitor: Anel Ka and his Gilera Runner FXR DD (double disc)
The story behind the scooter: I originally rode the Runner on the road for two years as normal with its original grey-orange fairing. But then came the big bang on the highway: bearing damage that destroyed the entire engine. So I had no choice but to rebuild the engine from scratch - and make a few visual and technical changes at the same time.
The engine was completely rebuilt (there is also a video on Luis Brygala on YouTube):
new Stage6 crankshaft, bearings and oil seals
- original Piaggio 180 cc cylinder (new)
- Malossi 360° intake manifold + Malossi VL13 reed valve block
- JD Performance intake tract incl. Gen3 airbox + 3D-printed intake snorkel
- 28 mm Nibi Racing Black Edition carburetor (previously 20.5 mm)
- JD Performance combustion chamber dome
- Complete Malossi drive
- Performance: approx. 21 hp on the test bench
Of course, there have also been some visual changes:
- new fairing
- Koso speedometer
- Rims powder-coated in neon yellow
- Various details such as brake reinforcement on the engine block
The bottom line is a scooter that has been completely gone through from the ground up - technically and visually.

Yamaha Aerox 70cc - Luis Brygala

It's actually my very first scooter that I owned and tuned myself. It's a real piece of history of my YouTube channel Luis Brygalabecause everything started with this very scooter. The scooter was built up piece by piece in over 40 videos. We - a couple of young lads with a great passion - were able to learn a lot in the process. What once began with a simple ratchet box and a small table developed over time into a YouTube channel with over 50,000 subscribers and a pretty well-equipped hobby workshop.
The scooter itself is a Yamaha Aerox with a 70cc Minarelli LC engine. On the P4 test bench, it produced an impressive 20.5 hp - a real beast and a star with the young audience!
FXR 180 SP - Jean

Was the color inspiration for the logo of my business in lilac/black
jsrt24. Cylinder is a 180 ported by 2STO, BGM 52mm stroke, JD Performance cylinder head, 28 Nibbi PWK, JD Performance Gen3 airbox. Exhaust is double-walled JSRT torque, combined with our aluminum rear silencer. Chassis front Malossi F36, hi. Malossi RS24/10-R. I've had the Runner for about 3 years now, I finished the rebuild at the beginning of the year. We want to work on the cylinder again, as it was planned for the timing of our speed exhaust. Then we should have a stable 30 hp plus.
Yamaha Aerox, from Mehdi

I bought a Yamaha Aerox frame, originally with the plan to restore it to its original condition. But then I came across a Stage6 RT high-end engine block - and at that moment I thought to myself, actually, it has to be a tuning scooter. So I decided to fulfill my childhood dream. Instead of leaving everything original, I had the idea of modifying and tuning every single part of the scooter to suit my own ideas. In the end, I adapted and customized almost every component.
The entire project took over two years, and even today there are still a few little things I want to change. I'm still unsure about some details, but that's part of the hobby for me. I moved to Germany two years ago because of my wife. I only knew many of the parts that I have now installed from the Internet. When I got here, I thought to myself: now I finally have the opportunity to realize my dream. So I started the project and after a lot of work and passion, it became exactly what you see today.
MBK Nito Jaguar - Dennis

My Nitro was built in 2002 and I completely rebuilt it in 2024. Frame blasting, powder coating, new bearings etc. I also gave it a registration according to the Motorrad Lust package. With the early components. Trophy 70ccm. Plus the Nardo plus the TopPerformances water pump cover with the red attachment. That was a typical tuning back then. Which is important to me. This Nitro is also based on my first Nitro. That was or is the origin of this Nitro. The picture is from the 2008-2009 adventure halls.

In the past, you didn't have the knowledge or the means to ride something like this legally. Today, at almost 40, you can still fulfill your dream and live out and experience your youthful hobby in a different way. It's more relaxed to ride the Nitro legally open with 70 cc.
