Product description: Silentblock set incl. BGM PRO anti-slip bushing for rear/bottom silentblock engine

Suitable for Vespa Smallframe/Largeframe engines

This set is used on the rear mounting eye of the engine housing. Too little attention is often paid to the rubber. A bushing that moves out to the side or a porous or hardened rubber that has never been replaced can introduce strong vibrations into the chassis, especially if the shock absorber fork is already in contact with the engine housing.

BGM PRO ANTISLIP BUSHING
The BGM PRO antislip bushing offers an innovative solution for fixing in the silent rubber. Thanks to its self-fixing design, it always remains in the optimum position, preventing it from slipping, as is possible with conventional bushes. A precisely defined groove allows the silent rubber to sit exactly in this recess, which stabilizes the bushing permanently.

SILENTGUMMI BGM PRO
The silent rubber is specially manufactured to our specifications. It has a very good and durable slightly reinforced rubber compound. The reinforced rubber has only a slightly increased degree of hardness. This means that the ride comfort is maintained despite the firmer suspension. It is also slightly longer and less chamfered than the original component. This guides the damper better and keeps unpleasant vibrations and oscillations away from the rider.

Another clever component from the BGM PRO parts universe that noticeably improves your scooter!

Available versions:

  • Øi9x48mm - for older vehicles (before 1984) such as Vespa PX old, Sprint, Rally, TS, GT, GTR

  • Øi10x48mm - for vehicles from 1984 or for conversion before 1984 - Vespa PX Lusso/EFL, LML, T5, Cosa

TIP: Fit the silentblocs dry, do not grease/oil. Use talcum powder to make fitting easier.

CONCLUSION: Clever little component that should be part of every vehicle standard.

FURTHER UPGRADES The following components are an ideal addition for improved driving performance and safety:

SILENT RUBBER SLEEVEBGM PRO
Silent rubber set BGM PRO for the engine swingarm. The engine is guided here and vibrations are eliminated. Should be replaced regularly, a must especially for older vehicles/engines!

SILENTBLOCK SHOCK ABSORBER TOP
Here, the engine is supported by just one connection point on the chassis. The rubber often hardens over the years and transmits unnecessary vibrations into the chassis. This should also be replaced regularly to ensure lasting driving safety.

DISTANCE PIECE TOP SHOCK ABSORBER BGM PRO
The distance piece is fitted ex works on largeframe models such as the PX and Sprint. It defines the chassis height at the rear and influences the handling, the pressure difference of the fuel column between the tank and carburetor and, last but not least, the ground clearance of the exhaust and the chassis. Is the carburetor cover coming up against the chassis? Then a wrong spacer is certainly fitted. Smallframe models (e.g. V50, PV, ET3) do not have a spacer, but can be fitted with one.
