Cylinder POLINI aluminum 152cc (Ø60mm) Evolution reed valve (54 mm stroke)

for Vespa Smallframe PV125, ET3 125, PK125

BIG EVO is now available for the Vespa Smallframe. This means a whopping 152cc for the standard engine cases of the Smallframe models such as V50, 50N, PV, ET3, PK etc. With Ø60mm bore and 54 mm stroke as well as very ambitious head angles straight out of the box, the Polini is a serious contender for the race track. Based on the very successful Polini EVO 133, Polini has put together a complete package, based on cylinder, crankshaft and exhaust, which was created for performance above 30 hp.

INTAKE MANIFOLD

The kit contains the complete intake tract, consisting of a large diaphragm intake, intake manifold and connecting rubber. The 6-flap diaphragm is fitted with 0.4 mm thick plate material. The intake manifold is designed for use with a Ø34mm carburetor cross-section (carburetor connection width of the rubber is Ø44-45 mm). Modifications may be necessary in the area of the frame cut-out for the carburetor.

PISTONS
The kit is based on the well-known Asso piston from the Polini Aprilia AF1 kit, as already used by FALC Racing in its 153cc cylinders (we can highly recommend the very high-quality Ø60mm Wössner piston from Overrev as an alternative).

Crankshaft
Any shaft with a 54 mm stroke and 105 mm connecting rod length can be used as a crankshaft. The connecting rod length not only benefits the better connecting rod ratio, but also reduces the necessary housing adaptations for the transfer ports to a minimum.

SPINDLING
The engine housing must be spindled accordingly for the required crankshaft with 54 mm stroke. The mount for the cylinder base must also be extended to Ø65.3 mm with a depth of 21 mm.

CYLINDER HEAD
The cylinder head is bolted with 4 screws in addition to the conventional bolting via the continuous (longer, enclosed) cylinder stud bolts.

CONCLUSION: Very interesting alternative for normal engine cases to the often unavailable FALC racing cylinders. Anyone looking for power well above 25 hp will find it here!
