The PYTHON clutch from AF Rayspeed is a so-called cassette clutch. In this case with 8-plate discs and suitable for GP, Li, SX, GT and TV.
Supplied complete with GP and Li/SX/GT/TV pressure plate, holding tool, other small parts required for installation and installation instructions.
Thanks to the cassette design, the clutch does not need to be dismantled for installation and removal. This prevents assembly errors and makes installation quicker and easier.
This clutch is based on the design of the 6-plate AF-Road clutch. The improved design elements are a reduced mass, an increased number of friction discs, tighter tolerances and a needle bearing instead of a bushing.
The PYTHON fits into the engine with the standard engine cover and a normal gasket, despite the eight friction discs. The PYTHON can control a higher torque without increasing the leverage of the clutch.
The pinion has a steel ring gear and an aluminum basket. By reducing the mass of the clutch, the inertia of the drivetrain is reduced. As a result, the engine responds better and the gearbox is less stressed. The result is that the gearbox also has a longer service life.
The standard GP clutch with 47 teeth weighs 1.97 kg.
